Susan Sarandon’s performance as Janet in cult phenomena The Rocky Horror Picture Show brought her huge acclaim in 1975. But it was Atlantic City in 19080 starring opposite Burt Lancaster, which sealed her star status and earned her an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of a waitress trying to make it as a blackjack dealer. In Bull Durham she demonstrated her considerable comic talent as a groupie who seduces minor league baseball players.
Her Oscar nominated role in the groundbreaking female road movie, Thelma & Louise starring opposite Geena Davis, is probably Sarandon’s best loved film. In 1995, she won an Oscar for Best Actress for Dead Man Walking for her powerful turn as Sister Helen Prejean who visits and befriends a murderer and rapist on Death Row played by Sean Penn.
This year Susan Sarandon and co-star Jessica Lange set the small screen alight in the miniseries, Feud, chronicling the lifelong animosity between film legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.
We’re very proud to have Susan Sarandon donate for a second time in 2019 with a pair of denim blue pumps in a size 38.
